iPhone Arrives… from Cisco

So after Brian Lam’s shenanigans over at Gizmodo, we were all anxious to see what the hell he was talking about when he said “iPhone Announced on Monday, I guarantee it.” It turns out that the iPhone is a registered trademark of Cisco Systems and was bestowed on one of their Linksys WiFi Skype phones. Yawn. As I promised, I won’t be reading Gizmodo again. What can we take away from this? Well at least we know that Apple’s upcoming mobile phone won’t be called an iPhone, so what WILL it be called? One of our contacts says it will follow the current iPod naming system and fit into the “iPod ______” formula. Any ideas? iPod Mobile, iPod Talk, iPod Cell, iPod Voice…
