Don’t Toast, Burn

In OS X we are blessed with generally good native support for authoring burnable media, but native support can only provide so much, especially in the grey area that is DVD authoring. If you are looking for an AVI to DVD program today is your lucky day - enter Burn. Burn is an open source disc burning tool available free of charge for OS X. It supports data disc formats (Mac, PC, Mac + PC, DVD, ), Audio Discs (AIFF, MP3), Video Discs (VCD, DVD, DivX Disc, SVCD) as well as straight copy functions through a super simple ultra mac-like drag and drop interface. While many of these features are available in paid disc authoring solutions such as Roxio’s Toast, Burn is a Free, rock solid, alternative that definitely deserves a spot in your dock. If you find Burn useful you can always donate to the developer here.
