Developer, Amadeusz Slawinski has released a Snake-like game in widget form, reminiscent of of the game made so popular on the Nokia cellphones of yore. So, start wasting some time and experience the joy only an evergrowing bit-graphic snake can bring.
Widget Wednesday: ToDo
Seems like we have done quite a few productivity enhancing posts lately, but this time it’s another last minute widget Wednesday. To Do, A lightweight and fast widget to manage tasks. Thanks to Mac OS X Leopard it integrates with iCal and Mail. The big advantage: to manage your tasks you don’t have to leave these applications open. It has neat looking spiral binding at the top, and support for to do priorities! Use this widget to scribble down all those New Years resolutions, and then delete them in two months!
Widget Wednesday: Vocero
One of the very early features I was excited about in Leopard was the new synthesized text-to-speech voice, Alex, which sounded very good, and much more natural than “Bruce” or “Agnes” which were seemingly inherited from Mac OS 9. While Leopard’s “Alex” does indeed sound great, it hasn’t been put it to good use, until now. Vocero is an RSS reader widget that will read the titles of the top stories you select right from the widget. Now you can hear your morning news read to you by a silky smooth computerized voice, right from the dashboard!

Widget Wednesday is here at last, and better late than never…..well you may be inclined to choose never after your hear what today’s widget is. With the holidays upon us, there exists many traditions, putting up lights, opening presents and of course the fruitcake. That white elephant of a gift, endlessly re-gifted from family to family and never eaten. Now you can have a piece of this sugar-hardened, color splattered mold, right on your dashboard.

Widget Wednesday: Chi Pet
Here we have a widget just for kicks and giggles. Chi Pet, is a fully functional Chia Pet-like widget which requires regular care and attention or else it will die! If nothing else it will give you an excuse to active your dashboard every once in a while. Your Chi pet will also talk to you, with a few pre-programed text greetings and the ability to add your own.
